Pre Season Friendly

Our first game saw our new squad come together for their first full match in the pre season friendly game against Waverton.

The game was played in the friendly nature expected from both footballing sides. Throughout the match both teams expressed themselves in the 'passing game' which led to many chances being created but not being converted. For the spectators present this was a good, flowing match which showed what the lads can produce, if they continue in this manner, then the season ahead looks positive.

From the start, the lads passed the ball freely, creating chances and putting into place what we have been focusing on in training, this was nice to see. Throughout the game the lads moved into different positions, it created the opportunity to experiment which the lads took in a very positive manner - this was nice to see and it was clear that they are already starting to gel as a team.

It would be difficult to pick out one individual who stood out in terms of commitment and performance, all who played a part did this, however mention should be made of our keeper, Harry. Throughout the game Harry made some outstanding saves and he has set himself a high standard for the rest of the season which we know Harry is more then capable of doing.

To all the lads, well done, keep it up and keep playing the game we work hard on in training.
